Enjoy "hydro-therapy", in the newer "viking spa", hot tubs; Surf the net (we have high speed "Wi-Fi" internet), enjoy our 'Ancient of days theme firepits' for roasting and fun, take a picture with "Barley", the over 11 foot "bear" or Babu, the weighing in at 1000 pounds. View wildlife from our screened in porches. Might like to go on a cave tour at " Carter Caves" (open all year round) or snuggle at one of our rumblestone fire pit, read a book, watch a movie, enjoy our nice decor with Gingerbread men, Bears, Cuckoo clocks an many enchanting Motiffs; or just take it all in, we know we"ll have something for you! I have met with most of the local vendors in the area, and have discovered all the trimmings for your mini vacation. Located just 2½ hours south of Cincinnati, Ohio. You can leave after work on Friday, stay till Sunday and enjoy horseback riding and cave touring at Carter Cave on Saturday. You may want to bring your own boat, jet ski, ATV, or rent from the local vendors (in season). Local vendors offer kayaks and canoes for adventure seekers. Checkout the all new "Thrillsville", go to www.thrillsville.org which provides a state of the art climbing facility, kayaking in underground caverns and off-road adventures in one of 9 hummers. (we provide directions from cabin to the facility).
We rented a pontoon for a day. It took us nearly two hours to reach the other side of the lake. My kids enjoy tubing and fishing. My wife enjoys the hiking trails and creeks in the forest. There are several boat ramps for the boat enthusiast. You will especially like the White Sulpher ATV trails, they are safe yet challenging, and among the top trails in Kentucky.

I have directions from the cabin to each adventure site. I also have the phone numbers of each of the local vendors that we send you in your "welcome packet" when you rent from us.
Smallwood I.G.A, a full service grocer, has a fast food restaurant "The Cornbread cafe", and gas station on the premise (8-12 minutes from cabin). We're only ½ hour from Morehead, KY. This features a majority of the fast food restaurants you're accustomed to, and has a Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Kroger's, and everything you need for your vacation.
Our cabins our centrally located between the Red River Gorge/ Natural Bridge area, the city of Morehead, Carter Cave and Cave Run Lake. This strategic location gives you considerable efficiency in managing your time.
